Kian Russell is a UK-based session guitarist.

With extensive live and studio experience, he has worked with numerous artists across the United States and the United Kingdom, including touring experience in Europe and North America. Kian has recently completed a tour of Germany alongside Georgia Crandon. Also performing and opening for Jared James Nichols, Ayron Jones, and The Quireboys on their respected UK tours.

Kian has worked in the industry for over 10 years. Starting as a semi-professional musician and singer, performing around the country as a guitarist when he was 11. This garnered the attention of various musicians and brands. A stint in America saw him progress his style, playing in various bands throughout various genres. These small-scale tours saw him perform at pubs, and clubs nationwide. By the age of 14, Kian had made a name for himself as a promising guitarist, performing with Ayron Jones, and continuing his work while gaining attention through social media. This led to media coverage from Emerald City Guitars, Action Magazine, and NeHi Stripes Musizine.

Returning to the UK at 15, he brought over his musical projects; the infusion of US blues and English pop quickly became popular throughout his hometown and surrounding areas. He performed regularly throughout the country, performing at the Picturedrome in Northampton. He regularly performed shows, opening for Jared James Nichols and The Quireboys on their respected UK tours. This gained the attention of Blackstar Amplification, who added Kian to their roster of endorsed artists.

Once COVID restrictions had lifted, began working with artists. His first year saw over 80 shows across the UK, performing with various bands and outfits. In 2022/2023, he began working with Georgia Crandon, joining her on the 2023 "Raging Red Locks" tour in Germany. He has since played several headline shows for Georgia, notably at The 100 Club, The Water Rats, and Chinnery’s. He has since appeared on live streams and a music video recorded by Georgia for her upcoming album.

In 2024, Kian completed a total of 180 shows, joining Georgia Crandon for a UK and EU Tour for her self-titled debut album "Georgia Crandon".

Additionally, Kian works with over 15 tribute bands across the UK in various genres; from Soul and Motown, to 'Guitar Heroes', 'Ibiza Sounds' and now multiple dates in theatres across the country. He also finished an extensive tour with a Coldplay tribute, with confirmed shows across the United Kingdom for 2025.

Whilst he continues his session work for artists and entertainment management companies, Kian currently runs a successful transcription (dots) service, which sees him working with various talent agencies.
